Arkansas Literary Festival to Feature Award-Winning Authors
Tickets for a reception and book reading by two well-known authors will be on sale starting Wednesday.
Academy Award-winning authors Larry McMurtry and Diana Ossana, known for their adaptation of Brokeback Mountain, will be in Little Rock from May 2-3.
“It’s always terrific when we can bring amazing authors to Little Rock. So, hopefully the audience will enjoy the authors as much as we enjoyed bringing them to Little Rock,” said Brad Mooy, with the Arkansas Literary Festival.
The May 2nd event’s tickets are $75. It is a fundraiser for the Arkansas Literary Festival. A reception and book reading will be at 7 p.m. at the Circle B Ranch, 17300 Burlingame Road, which is the home of Johnny and Sharon Bale.
The May 3rd event will be at Christ Episcopal Church, 509 Scott Street at 7 p.m. and is free to public.
McMurtry is also known for his novels Lonesome Dove, Terms of Endearment and The Last Picture Show.
