Fourth Alleged Victim To Sign On To Lawsuit Against Judge

Joe Boeckmann

A fourth alleged victim will join a civil lawsuit filed against a former Arkansas judge who resigned this week amid an investigation into allegations he engaged in inappropriate sexual relationships with defendants in his court.

Attorney Gary Green said Wednesday the fourth man has signed a contract with the firm. Green filed a "tort of outrage" Tuesday for three men who allege former part-time Cross County District Court Judge Joe Boeckmann had offered them alternative sentences involving taking inappropriate photographs or approached them after court dates to arrange paying them to take naked photographs.

Boeckmann resigned Monday, ending a Judicial Discipline and Disability Commission investigation into the allegations. Commission officials say they've handed parts of the investigation over to law enforcement officials to determine if there will be criminal charges.
