The Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department says another round of explosives will be detonated on part of what's left of the Broadway Bridge that connected Little Rock and North Little Rock.

The department says a set of footings that supported the bridge over the Arkansas River will be detonated at 9 a.m. Sunday. The Arkansas River will be closed to navigation from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.

The department says the detonation will be underwater and "is not likely to be" spectacular; however, members of the public who wish to watch can do so from the banks on the Little Rock side of the river.

Crews are working to demolish the 93-year-old bridge and install a new one.
