A new Arkansas website will allow the public to search information on more than 500 missing person cases in the state.
Attorney General Leslie Rutledge, Arkansas Crime Information Center Director Jay Winters and other officials on Wednesday unveiled the new site, www.neverforgotten.ar.gov . Winters said it cost ACIC about $28,000 to set up the site.
Rutledge said before the website was launched, the public had limited access to information in a full database of missing persons that had been maintained for law enforcement. ACIC's publicly searchable database had only about 50 missing persons and included missing person cases on the agency's website when a local law enforcement agency submitted a special request.
The new site will be updated regularly and includes photos, identifying features and other details about the cases.
