ASC Presents its Production of "Macbeth"
The Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas presents the classical tragedy “Macbeth” written by William Shakespeare. Auditions are open to anyone 18 & older and run from Sunday, August 15-Tuesday, August 17. You will need to prepare a 1-2 minute monologue from Macbeth. It is suggested that you familiarize yourself with Shakespearian speech. Callbacks are scheduled for Thursday, August 19, 6:00 pm. You will be notified in advance of callbacks. Performances will run from Friday, October 22 and 29, & Saturday, October 23 and 30, 7 PM & Sunday, October 24 and 31, 2 PM Tickets cost $13 for members/seniors, $18 for nonmembers, and $10 for students and will go on sale Monday, September 6. Purchase tickets at asc701.org/current-season. Dark deeds are afoot as Macbeth and his Lady risk it all for the ultimate prize. Shakespeare’s haunting drama of political intrigue and personal frailty is brought to light in an immersive visual world where “nothing is but what is not.”
