More Than $1.6 Million In Grants To Help Faulkner County

Members of the state's federal delegation have announced more than $1.6 million in economic development grants for Faulkner County for expansion of disaster recovery efforts and water, sewer and road infrastructure projects.

The funding is provided by the Economic Development Administration to promote job creation and foster disaster resiliency in communities affected by devastating storms.

The projects receiving funding include $300,000 to Central Arkansas Planning and Development District to hire additional staff to coordinate ongoing disaster recovery efforts in Faulkner County.

The city of Vilonia will get $201,000 to extend Industrial Park Drive to improve industrial and new business development. The city of Mayflower will receive $1.1 million to construct water and sewer infrastructure along Interstate Drive to support business expansion.
