Little Rock Motorcycle Officer Injured In Hit-And-Run

Police in Little Rock say a motorcycle officer was injured when he was struck by a car in a hit-and-run crash.

Police say Officer Steve Pledger suffered what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries in the crash at the intersection of Ninth Street and Interstate 30 about 12:45 p.m. Thursday. Officer Richard Hilgeman says the extent of Pledger's injuries are not fully known.

Police told reporters that Pledger was on his motorcycle when he was struck by a red, 1960s two-door Oldsmobile with antique tags that left heading east on Ninth Street. Details of the crash were not released.
