Preserve Arkansas Names 7 Endangered Places In The State

Preserve Arkansas has released its annual list of the most endangered places in Arkansas. Released Thursday, the list identifies seven locations that the group says faces threats that include deterioration, neglect, insufficient funds and inappropriate development.

The seven are:

Goodwin Field airport terminal in El Dorado

The National Guard Armory in Clarksville 

Credit Preserve Arkansas

Union Chapel Community Center in Springfield

Credit Preserve Arkansas

Sweet Home Chapel near Mount Ida

Credit Preserve Arkansas

The Slack/Comstock/Marshall House in Uniontown

Credit Preserve Arkansas

The Warren & Ouachita Depot in Warren 

Credit Preserve Arkansas

The Ray House in Little Rock, home to Gloria Ray of the Little Rock Nine

Preserve Arkansas began the endangered places program in 1999 to raise awareness of Arkansas' historic properties.
