It’s Been a Minute with Sam Sanders and The Splendid Table will begin airing on KUAR this weekend. In addition, listeners will get another opportunity to enjoy the highly popular Wait...Wait Don’t Tell Me.

It’s Been a Minute will air from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. and The Splendid Table will follow from 12-1 p.m. They will replace Ask Me Another and Says You! NPR recently announced it would be ending production of Ask Me Another. Says You!, which is independently produced, made it’s announcement shortly after.

Flap Jones of Not Necessarily Nashville decided to go to a one-hour format for her program, so Wait...Wait will now air from 5-6 p.m.on Saturdays following Weekend All Things Considered. Ozark Highlands Radio will follow Wait...Wait from 6-7 p.m. and Not Necessarily Nashville will air from 7-8 p.m. This gives listeners three opportunities to experience the fun and engaging take on the week’s news from Wait...Wait.

Here’s more from NPR about It’s Been a Minute:

It's Been a Minute with Sam Sanders is a weekly one-hour engaging conversation -- a timely and topical look back at the week's news, with pop culture features and interviews. Launched as a twice-weekly podcast in June 2017, It's Been a Minute became a one-hour weekly radio program beginning October 6, 2017, designed to engage audiences on weekend mornings with timely and topical discussions. Each week, Sam Sanders interviews people in the culture who deserve your attention. Plus weekly wraps of the news with other journalists. Join Sam as he makes sense of the world through conversation.

And here’s More from American Public Media about The Splendid Table:

A culinary, culture and lifestyle program, it has hosted our nation's conversations about cooking, sustainability and food culture and has introduced us to generations of food dignitaries. Francis Lam took over the program from long-time host Lynne Rossetto Kasper in January 2018. Under Francis, listeners can expect a modern, multicultural weekly snapshot of the food world – exploring different cultures, cuisines and ideas, as well as the small personal stories that come out of the expansive world of the table.

Finally, replacing an established entertainment game show program at a prime weekend listening time is no easy task. We always appreciate listener input on programming.
