Vanessa is the Development Director for UA Little Rock Public Radio.

Vanessa holds a B.A. in Art from Hendrix College in Conway and a M.S. in Historic Preservation from Pratt Institute in New York City. Before joining UA Little Rock Public Radio, she was the Executive Director of Preserve Arkansas for 8 years.

Arkansan Vic Fleming has written 46 puzzles for the New York Times over the years. In honor of the Fall 2018 Fund Drive, he created a public radio-themed crossword puzzle for KLRE/KUAR.

Each year hundreds of young people participate in the City of Little Rock's Summer Youth Employment Program, which places young people in jobs at 150-200 nonprofit organizations and government agencies around the city. According to Mike Sanders, the Community Resources Manager for the City of Little Rock, this year's program garnered 1,200 applicants, of which 650 were placed. 

Arkansas Business' Kyle Massey recently visited the KUAR station to interview Managing Editor Bobby Ampezzan and Partner Manager Vanessa McKuin about the new Regional Journalism Collaborative, Arkansas Public Media.
