Anderson Institute @ 10: Civil Rights App

This summer marks the tenth anniversary of the UA Little Rock Anderson Institute on Race and Ethnicity. Among its many signal achievements, the Anderson Institute created the award-winning Arkansas Civil Rights History Tour app in partnership with the City of Little Rock. The app provides a guided tour of Little Rock and Arkansas civil rights history, incorporating many of its key sites in the capital city. These include more familiar landmarks such as Central High School, as well as less heralded places such as the historically black Dunbar High School. The app also covers Latino, Native American, Japanese American, and Jewish history. Download it for free as the perfect introduction to the state’s civil rights history.
