Arts Scene: Actor Skye Scott On Arkansas Rep's "Million Dollar Quartet"

IMDB.com

This week on the Arts Scene, we take a trip back to the golden age of rock and roll.

The Arkansas Repertory Theatre's production of "Million Dollar Quartet" captures the fateful day in 1956 when Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley gathered at Sun Studios in Memphis for an unforgettable recording session.

Skye Scott, who plays the Rockabilly legend Carl Perkins in the show, joined Arts Scene to talk about the joys and challenges of bringing "a rock show with lines" to the stage. Arkansas Rep Marketing Director Karen Rudolph also joins in with an update on the theatre's upcoming season.

"Million Dollar Quartet" runs from Sept. 4 to Oct. 6 at Arkansas Rep's downtown Little Rock theatre.

Daniel Breen is News Director of Little Rock Public Radio.
