Also, Author Garry Powell, associate professor at the University of Central Arkansas's Writing Department was a featured writer at the 2013 Arkansas Literary Festival. He expounds upon his most recent work, Stoning the Devil. He drew the book from his years living in the United Arab Emirates, teaching English in a language school. Powell has also worked in Spain, Portugal and Poland.
