Hillary Clinton Wins Arkansas Democratic Presidential Primary

Hillary Clinton
KATV, Channel 7 News

Former Arkansas first lady Hillary Clinton has won the state's Democratic primary for president for the second time, defeating Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders.

Clinton also won the Arkansas presidential primary in 2008 but lost the nomination fight to President Barack Obama.

Arkansas has 37 delegates to the Democratic National Convention and allocated 32 in Tuesday's vote. The remaining five are superdelegates not bound to the state primary results.

Clinton was Arkansas first lady until 1992, when then-Arkansas Gov. Bill Clinton was elected president. Hillary Clinton served one term as a U.S. senator from New York and is a former U.S. secretary of state.
