KUAR Wins Five AP Broadcast Awards

KUAR is proud to have won five awards at the Arkansas Associated Press Broadcasters Association's 2012 contest.  The awards for radio and TV stations were presented Saturday in Little Rock.

Nathan Vandiver won two first place awards.  One was in the category of Newscast for his coverage of the "Christmas Snow Storm," the other for Use of Natural Sound for his report on "Electric Cars Moving Slowly to Arkansas."

Michael Hibblen won a first place award for Enterprise, Feature or Investigative for his piece for NPR on the "Restoration of Johnny Cash's Boyhood Home."

Malcolm Glover won a second place honor for Use of Natural Sound for his report "Doctor Starts Women's Health Initiative in Belize."

KUAR also won second place for radio station Website.
