NPR Honored With Four Nominations At Webby Awards

NPR displays its Webby Awards at NPR HQ.

This awards season, NPR journalists and programs were nominated in several categories at both The Webby Awards. Recognized for creative reporting, innovative storytelling, and limitless curiosity, these nominations are just a snippet of the outstanding work NPR produces on a daily basis.

NPR's Jazz Night in America, Skunk Bear, and TED Radio Hour are nominated in four categories at the 22nd Webby Awards. This is the twelfth consecutive year that NPR has been nominated for a Webby Award since 2006. However, our first Webby nomination came in 2001, when NPR Politics was nominated for this stellar website design. Public voting for The Webbys closes April 20. NPR has been nominated in the following categories:

In the Film & Video General: Science and Education, Skunk Bear, NPR's science vertical, is nominated for "The Strangest Sights Cassini Saw: Postcards From Saturn."

In the Film & Video Channels and Networks: Science Education, Skunk Bear is also nominated for "Best Channel."

In the Film & Video General: Musiccategory, Jazz Night in America, NPR Music's radio and video documentary collaboration with WGBOand Jazz at Lincoln Center, earns a nomination for "Jazz is the Mother of Hip-Hop."

In the Podcast & Digital Audio General: Science and Educationcategory, Ted Radio Hour, a collaboration between NPR and TED, is nominated for its episode, "Manipulation."
