Interview: French Hill On Congressional Budget Showdown, Community Health Centers

U.S. Rep. French Hill (R-2nd District)

One of the many items being shuffled around Congress in short-term spending crises is funding for Community Health Centers. KUAR's Jacob Kauffman talks with U.S. Representative French Hill (R-2nd District) about healthcare, a short-term budget deal against a government shutdown deadline, and November elections.

UPDATE 2/9 6:30 a.m.: Arkansas’s all-Republican Congressional delegation voted together last night for the House stopgap bill to fund the government for another six weeks, to boost domestic program funds by $128 billion, and to hike military spending by $160 billion. Some Republicans, led by U.S. Senator Rand Paul (R-KY), opposed the plan for increased spending and lifting the debt ceiling; some Democrats opposed it for not resolving DACA.
