Strengthening Our Communities: Community-Based Leadership Programs

Are leaders born or made?

This is one of the most often asked question about leadership. Research indicates leaders are "mostly made."The best estimates offered by research is that leadership is about one-third born and two-thirds made. With this being said, you CAN improve your leadership skills and help develop leadership skills of others.

Support organizations like the Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service provide leadership development programs that equip people with the leadership skills needed to function effectively, influence others, and achieve goals. All important components to ensure people are prepared to lead change initiatives that impact quality of life within their communities.
