Strengthening Our Communities: Managing Change During A Crisis And Beyond

During times of uncertainty like a pandemic, people look to leaders for compassion, care, and confidence in navigating through the crisis and into the future. Once immediate issues are addressed, leaders have an opportunity to transform their organizations and communities with progressive leadership strategies.

COVID-19 is driving change in our personal and professional behaviors. These changes have dramatically shifted our idea of what’s possible after the curve flattens. Leaders should evaluate what changes are working today: increasing modes of communication, embracing technology, and managing risk and integrate these into future strategic plans.

The UA Cooperative Extension Service provides leadership programs and resources that equip people with the leadership skills needed to embrace change, be a positive influence, and make a difference. Working together we can be a part of the future, impacting the quality of life within each of our Arkansas communities.
