"Countering The Culture Of Clinton Hating" Lecture To Be Held At Presidential Library

A lecture titled “Countering the Culture of Clinton Hating” will be held Tuesday at the Clinton Presidential Center in Little Rock featuring former journalist and author David Brock. He’s founder of a non-profit group called Media Matters for America, which works to counter what he calls conservative misinformation in the media.

It's a drastic change from his past.  In the years immediately after President Bill Clinton took office, Brock visited Arkansas to research stories for several conservative publications that investigated President Clinton’s previous business dealings and former associates, writing stories highly critical of the president and suggesting all kinds of improprieties.

But Brock later changed his political beliefs and worked to disassociate himself with some of his writings, which he nows acknowledges were politically motivated and commissioned by people who wanted to see President Clinton engulfed in scandals that would lead to him being thrown out of office.

Brock will be speaking speaking at the Clinton School of Public Service at 12 p.m.  You can hear an interview KUAR conducted with Brock above.

Michael Hibblen was a journalist for KUAR News from May 2009 — December 2022. During his final 10 years with the station, he served as News Director. In January 2023, he was hired by Arkansas PBS to become its Senior Producer/ Director of Public Affairs.
