The Bull Shoals police chief has pleaded not guilty to federal charges accusing him of using excessive force during an arrest.
Daniel Sutterfield is accused of kicking and stomping Nicholas Dore and using a stun gun during Dore's July 2013 arrest. He's charged in federal court with depriving Dore of his rights and trying to cover it up by ordering an officer to falsify records.
According to the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, federal attorneys have filed a motion saying they have evidence that Sutterfield committed similar acts against two people in 2012. Sutterfield's attorney, Bruce Eddy, argues that there isn't sufficient evidence to prove those claims.
Sutterfield's trial is set to begin next Tuesday in Harrison.
