A baby chimpanzee at the Little Rock Zoo has been named "Jumoke," which is Swahili for "everyone loves the child."
The zoo on Monday said Jumoke received 42 percent of the vote in an online poll at the zoo's website.
The chimp was born July 18 to Mahale. Afterward, the zoo asked the public to choose from among three names.
The other names on the ballot were Kibale, which is the name of a Ugandan national park, and Kgosi, which is a Setswana word for "king" or "chief."
This is Mahale's second offspring. Kendi was born Aug. 29, 2009.
