Arkansas will soon have a second major Democratic presidential candidate visit the state. Former Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley is making a stop at a residence in Little Rock’s affluent Heights neighborhood December 4th. A private and public reception are being hosted at 5101 Hawthorne Road.

O’Malley consistently tracks third in the Democratic primary. A Real Clear Politics polling average from 10/29-11/17 measures his support at 3.6 percent.

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton tracked at 55.4 percent and Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders had 32 percent support. In the most recent poll, conducted by Public Policy Polling, O’Malley garnered 7 percent.

O’Malley has participated in major forums and both debates. He generally edged out other straggling candidates Jim Webb and Lincoln Chaffee before their exits from the campaign in October. The next debate is December 19th in  New Hampshire.

Clinton has visited the state several times since launching her candidacy. Sanders has not visited Arkansas.
