One person is reported dead following a plane crash at the municipal airport in North Little Rock.
North Little Rock city spokesman Nathan Hamilton said one person died in the crash of a Cessna 310 about 1:30 p.m. Thursday. He said a second person in the plane was transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries.
A Cessna 310 is a six-passenger, twin engine aircraft, according to Cessna's website.
Police told reporters at the scene that after the plane crashed it hit a fuel tank by the Central Arkansas Water facility and firefighters were called to the scene.
A North Little Rock police spokesman did not immediately return a telephone message to The Associated Press.
A Federal Aviation Administration spokesman did not immediately respond to messages seeking comment.
