A more engaging and mobile-friendly experience arrives today for Morning Edition, All Things Considered and all your favorite NPR programs on the Web. These programs have joined the ongoing NPR.org redesign that's previously upgraded our home page, blogs and story pages.
What's New
The redesign shines a bright light on each program's audio and on the visuals that provide context for each broadcast. Our designers and developers have worked to improve NPR's programs on all platforms, from phones to tablets to desktops. No matter where you use the Web, you'll receive a quicker, more clear and more valuable experience with our audio storytelling.
On the front page of each program, you'll now find the latest show and access to an archive of previous broadcasts.
We've also built local broadcast schedules and streams right into the program page. If you're localized to your favorite station on NPR.org and your station airs that program, you'll see when the program airs and be able to tune into your station's live broadcast stream.
Built Around Favorite Features
Even with these improvements, you'll still recognize the NPR programs you love when you visit them online. Your favorite features from the old design are a part of the new pages. Just like before, you can add the entire show or individual stories to your playlist or download as many individual stories as you'd like. You can still connect with a program and the hosts on social media as well.
With our live-audience shows, Wait Wait...Don't Tell Me! and Ask Me Another, there are still easy links to buy tickets.
Better Listening Experience
We hope this redesign makes it easier than ever to keep up with your favorite programs and opens the door to new listening experiences. Behind the scenes of these new pages, this launch introduces production technology that should help us evolve the NPR listening experience much more in the future.
If you encounter any technical issues, you can find a list of NPR.org-compatible browsers, and you can contact us with your questions or ideas. After the launch, as always, we plan to continue making improvements.
