Marketplace Morning Report Moves To New Time With Additional Broadcast On KUAR

American Public Media

Starting on Monday, September 22, American Public Media's Marketplace Morning Reportwill be featured daily as part of Morning Edition, broadening the reach of this robust business segment.

The seven-minute business news segment is hosted by veteran journalist David Brancaccio.

The program is not new to KUAR. It's been a part of KUAR's Morning Edition every weekday morning at 6:51 a.m. since 1991.

Due to the new agreement between NPR and APM, beginning September 22, KUAR will air Marketplace Morning Report at 5:51 and again at 7:51 a.m. This move adds an additional airing of the segment, places it at a time that regularly has more listeners and will allow listeners to hear original NPR content that is broadcast at 6:51 a.m.

These programming changes will give listeners a jump on global business and economic news and a glance ahead to what's making headlines throughout the day. For the past 25 years, Marketplace Morning Report's proven passion and expertise for this beat has brought an original voice and comprehensive coverage to business reporting.

NPR will no longer produce the Morning Edition business segment, which can currently be heard on KUAR at 8:51 a.m. through Friday, September 19, but the show will continue to offer business coverage such as Planet Money that will air throughout the newsmagazines.

We're sharing feedback with NPR about this programming change as it rolls out. If you have questions or comments, please share them here or send them to us at comments@ualrpublicradio.org.
