Blake Givens

Blake Givens is the Membership Coordinator for Little Rock Public Radio.

Blake is a Central Arkansas native and Little Rock Central High School (Hail to the Olde Gold) alumnae. He's a graduate of the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, where he double-majored in International Economics and African and

African-American Studies. Blake is a self-described, "data hound," a Marketplace "stan," and a natural salesman, as evidenced by the attainment of his first in-store product placements by age 9.

Prior to joining the Little Rock Public Radio team, Blake spent over a decade in the Retail/eCommerce industries. As a Supplier Consultant in Northwest Arkansas, Blake assisted small to medium suppliers in optimizing their omni-channel retail strategies and grow revenue, leading to one client being featured on NBC's "Shark Tank" and another receiving distribution rights with American Airlines.

Blake spent three years in Colorado as a Footwear Merchant for Crocs, Inc., spearheading the creation of a semi-annual insights analysis that led to new product collaborations with Mattel's Barbie and the expansion of the company's Disney licensed-product offering, to name a few. Last fall, Blake returned to Arkansas to be closer to home and spent the last few months as the Research Assistant to the Interim Chair of the Department of Human Sciences at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, assisting in the management and program coordination on capacity-building grants.

Throughout his career, Blake has maintained a reputation for ideating actionable processes and campaigns that drive revenue, strengthen brand loyalty, while highlighting areas of future opportunity and utilizing data to determine consumer trend and sentiment.

In joining the Little Rock Public Radio team, Blake hopes to utilize skills gained throughout his education and career to assist in furthering LRPR's mission to deepen insight, empower decision-making, and enrich the lives of the Central Arkansas community.

Blake is excited to work with you all to create fun, innovative, and data-driven initiatives and community engagement that seek to grow our membership and increase retention to ensure the short and long-term viability of Little Rock Public Radio.
