The opera world has its fair share of stars, and one hails from right here in Little Rock.
Kristin Lewis has graced the stage around the world, including at her Metropolitan Opera debut earlier in the year. She's world-renowned for her well-focused, majestic sound, particularly in her signature role leading Giuseppe Verdi's Aida.
Now, to add to her already lengthy list of accolades, Lewis is part of the 2019 class of inductees into the Arkansas Black Hall of Fame. She was in Little Rock on Oct. 26 to accept the honor.
Lewis caught up with the Arts Scene shortly before the ceremony from her home in Vienna, Austria.
