Quincy J. Walters is a junior at USF, majoring in English with a concentration in creative writing. His interest in journalism spurred from the desire to convey compelling narratives. He has written for USF’s student paper, The Oracle and is currently the videographer for Creative Pinellas. If he’s not listening to NPR, he’s probably listening to Randy Newman.

Emily Smith works as a Program Associate for the UA Cooperative Extension on the Community, Professional & Economic Development team. Primarily, Emily works to build capacity for a community visioning program known as Breakthrough Solutions as well as the UA Cooperative Extension’s statewide leadership development program called LeadAR. In addition to working with these programs, she strives to match community development resources with community needs. She is a graduate of The Clinton School of Public Service where she explored how networks are formed and sustained through participation in leadership networks and how these networks impact individuals. Olivia Reingold is the Tribal Issues Correspondent for Yellowstone Public Radio. She was previously a producer for Georgia Public Broadcasting and participated in the NPR program, “Next Generation Radio.” She graduated from Columbia Journalism School, where she reported on opioids and the 12-step recovery program, Narcotics Anonymous. She’s from Washington D.C. and is particularly interested in covering addiction. She likes to sew, just don’t ask her to follow a pattern.

Karen Tricot Steward hosts Courts and Community, a one-minute interstitial program on KUAR. She is Public Education Coordinator for the Arkansas Supreme Court. Her position is responsible for planning and implementing statewide public education programs to raise awareness and understanding of the role of the judiciary. She organizes outreach events, develops educational materials and exhibits, facilitates group tours of the Justice Building in Little Rock, and makes presentations about the court system.

Martin Austermuhle is a reporter in WAMU’s newsroom. He covers politics, development, education, social issues, and crime, among other things. Austermuhle joined the WAMU staff in April 2013 as a web producer and reporter. Prior to that, he served as editor-in-chief for DCist.com. He has written for the Washington City Paper, Washington Diplomat and other publications.

La Kesha Crow is a real estate agent with Coldwell Banker RPM in Little Rock, Ark. La Kesha graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with a bachelor of business administration majoring in computer information systems. She hosts Community Development Minute on KUAR, a one-minute educational program highlighting the work of Community Development organizations like the University District Development Corporation (UDDC), which supports the UA Little Rock neighboring communities. She serves on the board of the UDDC.
