It's finally here! Major and Minor Masterpieces with Little Rock's own, Eric Harrison, returns for Season 4 on March 11th!
Featuring 8 brand-new episodes, this season's highlights include choral “monsterworks,” classical dance pieces that will spur you to kick up your heels, groundbreaking symphonies by African-American composers, and a classical take on the elements, Fire and Water.
Tune in Wednesdays from 4:00PM - 6:00PM and Sundays 7:00PM - 9:00PM only on Little Rock Public Radio - KLRE, 90.5FM.
Major and Minor Masterpieces adds a local touch to the world of classical music by sharing historical insights and analysis from Arkansas Democrat-Gazette arts and culture writer, Eric Harrison on classical works through the ages. Each episode features an educational segment (hosted by Eric and the show's producer, Sarah Buford) designed to simplify the terminology and history behind the genre, making it more approachable for everyone. Tune in on Wednesdays from 4-6 pm for new episodes and Sundays from 7-9 pm for re-airings to explore chamber music, choral works, symphonies, and occasionally, a bit of opera in a more accessible format.
