Mockingbird Word is a community-centered radio project started by writer and Hendrix College Professor Colleen Mayo in 2024 and supported by the Hendrix-Murphy Foundation in Literature and Language. It invites Arkansas-based writers across all stages of their career to respond to the prompt "It Happened Once in Arkansas". Mockingbird Word is recorded and edited at Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas.
