Arkansas Chamber Singers: An English Christmas
Arkansas Chamber Singers: An English Christmas
The Arkansas Chamber Singers will continue the annual tradition of concerts in the wonderful acoustics of the Old State House. The concert, An English Christmas, will feature arrangements of traditional carols and original choral works from Great Britain, which is where a majority of our well-known Christmas tunes originate. ACS will be joined by harpist Anna Kathryn Pepper. Audiences of all ages will enjoy the timeless sensation of Christmas music through the ages. Dr. Gabriel Statom will be the guest conductor for this concert. Dr. Statom has conducted choirs in churches and arts organizations across the south for the past 25 years. His choirs have performed at Carnegie Hall, the Piccolo Spoleto Festival and cathedrals across Europe and South America. These performances are underwritten, in part, by the Arkansas Arts Council, an agency of the Department of Arkansas Heritage, and the National Endowment for the Arts and are free and open to the public.
