The ARTx3 Campus will host a screening of the DreamWorks animated film “Over the Hedge” from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 18, in the Catherine M. Bellamy Theater at The Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas, 701 S. Main St.
As the animals venture into the neighborhood, they encounter both opportunities (easy access to junk food) and dangers (humans, pets and exterminators). Along the way, they learn important lessons about teamwork, trust, and the difference between natural living and human influence.
The event is free, but registration is required. Register for both the screening and the Saturday Family FunDay event that follows at artx3.org/all-events/movie-over-the-hedge. The event is sponsored by Simmons First Foundation.

Which art has the most impact and on whom? The power of great art lies in its ability to communicate with anyone, no matter their art historical knowledge, their background, their beliefs.
This film gives voice to those whose lives have been touched by the Gallery – from security guard to director, everyday visitor to celebrities and members of the royal family. Claudia Winkleman, Michael Palin, Terry Gilliam, Jacqueline Wilson and HRH Princess Eugenie all let us in to their deeply personal connection with the National Gallery. Each interviewee identifies the one artwork which means the most to them, with this diverse cross section of society making surprising choices of both well-known masterpieces and hidden gems. It‘s time to “Time Warp“ back to the 1970s and relive the wild and outrageous adventure of Brad and Janet, two innocent teens who stumble upon a strange castle and its peculiar inhabitants. This musical comedy horror follows the two as they come face–to-face with the campy transvestite alien, Dr. Frank N. Furter. Along the way, they are exposed to seduction, temptation, and the “Sweet Transvestite” himself.
