A jury has found Bull Shoals police chief not guilty on two counts and a mistrial was ordered on a third count.
The Baxter Bulletin reports the jury reached the verdict in the case of Daniel Sutterfield late Friday evening.
Sutterfield was found not guilty on charges of conspiracy and falsifying a police report. A mistrial was declared on the count of use of excessive force.
The charges were related to the July 2013 arrest of Nicholas Dore on suspicion of domestic abuse.
Prosecutors could seek another trial on the use of excessive force charge, but they made no announcement of any intention to do that Friday night.
Dore has filed a civil lawsuit against Sutterfield, Bull Shoals police officer David Chatman and the city of Bull Shoals.
