Colin MacKnight, organist and music director at Little Rock’s Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, 310 W. 17th St., kicks off a year-long project to play the entire catalog of organ works by Johann Sebastian Bach, miniatures to major masterpieces, with a series of Wednesday lunchtime concerts starting next week — 12:15-12:45 p.m. Wednesdays through May (skipping Holy Week and the week after Easter), taking most of the summer off, resuming in September and continue through the end of the year. He has programmed special concerts for March 21, Bacchus birthday, and July 28, which is the 275th anniversary of Bach’s death.

Murry’s Dinner Playhouse, 6323 Colonel Glenn Road, is dark this week, re-opening Wednesday Jan. 8 with “Ripcord,” by David Lindsay-Abaire. Two unlikely roommates in a senior living facility agree to a bet that starts as a series of pranks but escalates into a dangerous game of one-upsmanship. It’s onstage 7:30 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday (but Wednesday matinees only Jan. 8, 15 and 22), 12:45 and 6:45 p.m. Sunday through Feb. 1. The buffet opens 90 minutes before curtain time. “Treehouse Treasures: A Collector’s Collection Part 1” is up through Jan. 18 the Cantrell Gallery, consisting of works from the collection of original gallery owner Helen Scott, who is downsizing her home. Sunday Jan. 5 will be the last day to see “Two Minutes to Midnight and the Architecture of Armageddon,” photographic essays on the Cold War by Jeanine Michna-Bales and Adam Reynolds, at the MacArthur Museum of Arkansas Military History, 503 E.
