St. Patrick’s Day has come and gone but you can still get a “taste” of Irish culture as “A Taste of Ireland — The Irish Music & Dance Sensation” hits the stage of Little Rock’s Robinson Center Performance Hall, 426 W. The Children’s Theatre at the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts, 501 E. Ninth St., Little Rock, continues its run of “The Cat in the Hat” by Katie Mitchell, based on the Dr. Seuss children’s classic and originally produced by the National Theatre of Great Britain, 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday March 22 and March 29 and 2 p.m. Sunday March 23 and all next week during Spring Break. March 29 is “dress-up day”; audience members are invited to dress up in “Seuss Style” and bring their favorite Dr. Seuss book (or buy one in the Museum Store) for the cast to sign after the show. events.arkmfa.org.

On the cusp of a national tour for the Tony Award-winning musical “Suffs,” Shaina Taub, who wrote the music, lyrics and book (and winner of Tony Awards for Best Book and Best Score) and who played Alice Paul on Broadway, and actress Tsilala Brock, who has played Dudley Malone on Broadway, will take part in a Women’s History Month conversation about the show’s development and creation, 6 p.m. today Thursday at the Arkansas Repertory Theatre, 601 Main St., Little Rock, followed by “an exclusive performance” from the show. MUSIC

The Little Rock Winds Chamber Players will perform at 7:30 p.m. today Thursday at the Center for Humanities and Arts Theater at the University of Arkansas-Pulaski Technical College, 3000 W. Scenic Drive, North Little Rock. The program includes works for solo tuba and four brass instruments, alto saxophone and marimba, alto saxophone and wind quintet and tuba and trombone quartets. ART AND EXHIBITS

“Spring: Exploring the blooming landscape of Clarence Cash,” oil and pastel paintings by Cash, a past president of the Arkansas League of Artists, goes on display with a 5-8 p.m. reception today Thursday at Art Group Gallery, in the Pleasant Ridge Town Center, 11525 Cantrell Road, Little Rock.
