World Turtle Day

World Turtle Day

Celebrate World Turtle Day at the Little Rock Zoo!

Turtles have been around for millions of years, playing an important role in maintaining the health of their ecosystems. Unfortunately, many species of turtles are now threatened due to habitat loss, pollution, and illegal pet trade. This World Turtle Day, let’s come together to learn about these ancient creatures and the efforts being made to protect them.

Join us on May 23rd to celebrate World Turtle Day at the Little Rock Zoo!

Did you know that some turtles can live for over 100 years? Or that sea turtles navigate thousands of miles across oceans to return to the beaches where they were born? Learn these fascinating facts and more during special keeper talks and turtle-themed activities.

All activities are included with regular admission—don’t miss out on this chance to honor turtles and raise awareness for their conservation!
