Puzzling Adventures are a cross between a scavenger hunt, an adventure race, and an informative self-guided walking tour. Each adventure consists of a series of locations that you are guided to where you are required to answer a question or solve a puzzle to receive your next instruction. Compete as a group, individually or create multiple teams and race each other. Almost all of our adventures are designed to be wheelchair and stroller friendly and all are carefully crafted to be entertaining and informative with something to appeal to all ages. Complete the adventure as quickly as possible to win first place or take your time and enjoy the journey. Price is per team, not per person. Groups can be any size, but small groups are recommended for the best experience.

Come to the High Cotton on the Bayou Festival at Scott Settlement in Scott Arkansas, 10am to 3pm on Saturday October 4th, 2025 and step back into history! Enjoy a wonderful day full of turn-of-the-century family-style fun!

Tour authentic plantation buildings that compose the Scott Settlement. Watch demonstrations of heritage skills such as grinding and cooking sorghum, blacksmithing, spinning yarn, needlework, wood fired oven cooking, and butter making.

Children will enjoy playing heritage games such as hopscotch, jumping rope, sack races, and walking on stilts.

Listen to live music while you stroll and explore vender booths, historical buildings, and heritage activities. Ride on an antique school bus and hay wagon within the settlement compound.

Food, brunch, and lunch available for purchase at the wood fired oven/cast iron cookstove and a food truck.

Visit The Sweet Shop located in the original Scott Train Depot. Purchase homemade goodies and coffee from start to finish.

Admission is $5 per person. Children age 6 and under admitted free.

High Cotton on the Bayou Festival is on the first Saturday each October regardless current weather conditions.

Join us for the season-closing free concert featuring Arkansauce in their highly anticipated 4th annual appearance at Argenta Vibe Music Series.

Arkansauce, the Ozark-born progressive string quartet, masterfully blends newgrass, folk, country, blues, and funk for a breathtaking, foot-stomping experience. Known for their energetic live shows and genre-defying setlists, they've become a beloved Argenta staple—don't miss their explosive finale performance!

Dogtown Throwdown, a vibrant two-day street festival, will close out the season on Friday, October 10, and Saturday, October 11. Main Street in Argenta will be closed from Broadway to 5th St. starting at 4 pm Friday to 10 pm Saturday. The event will be full of family activities, live music and delicious food from all your favorite local restaurants.

(If your child wants to run the kid's dash, and doesn't want the SWAG, they are welcome to run with us on race day for free!)
