Check out this special exhibition of 40 pieces of artwork from the 2006 to 2023 exhibitions! Small Works on Paper: From the Permanent Collection opens with a reception event at the Historic Arkansas Museum on Friday, June 13, 5-8 p.m.
The ARTx3 Campus will host an opening reception from 5-7 p.m. Friday, March 14, for “Pushing Forward: Politics, Social Conflict, and the Racial Divide in the Art of Kevin Cole” at The Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas, 701 S. Main St. in Pine Bluff. The reception is open to the public and free.
Cole’s “Pushing Forward” is a collection of the Pine Bluff native’s paintings, prints, and sculptures developed throughout his career. Cole’s works are imbued with symbolism that speaks to the weight of racial injustice. The exhibition is sponsored by Simmons Bank.

The Argenta Vibe Music Series brings incredible free live music to the community at Argenta Plaza. The concert series showcases a diverse lineup of local and regional musicians. Join us in June for a show from Appalachian Roadshow! The Americana acoustic ensemble will bring new-generation interpretations of traditional folk songs, as well as offer new original music, all tying directly to the heart of the Appalachian regions of the United States.
Each concert begins at 7:30 pm, with food trucks and beverage vendors available on-site. Come early to secure your spot and enjoy family-friendly activities and a pre-show playlist. Remember, Argenta is an entertainment district–grab dinner or a beverage from one of our local restaurants to enjoy during the show. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets.VIP Tickets are available for $50 and include dinner, Tito's cocktails and preferred seating.

The Arkansas Arts Council will honor the 2025 Arkansas Living Treasure, Stephen Driver, during a reception and event 5:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 18, at Boswell Mourot Fine Art at 1501 Main St., Suite H, in Little Rock.
Driver was announced as the 2025 Arkansas Living Treasure during James Black’s Bowie Heritage Festival in old Washington on April 26. The reception will celebrate Driver, who is represented by Boswell Mourot Fine Art.
Since 2002, the Arkansas Living Treasure program has recognized an Arkansas creative who excels in the creation of a traditional craft or folk art and who preserves and advances their craft through community outreach and teaching others. The program has honored creatives in categories such as canoe carving, woodworking, quilting, weaving, bladesmithing and more.
Driver has been creating pottery for more than 50 years and continues to promote his craft through community firings, teachings and exhibitions. You can see more about Driver at www.ArkansasArts.org.
The reception for Driver will celebrate the artist and his craft with an art talk, feature video, a display of works, and catering. The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required. Spaces are limited.
