The 2025 Arkansas Living Treasure Award Reception: Stephen Driver
The Arkansas Arts Council will honor the 2025 Arkansas Living Treasure, Stephen Driver, during a reception and event 5:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 18, at Boswell Mourot Fine Art at 1501 Main St., Suite H, in Little Rock.
Driver was announced as the 2025 Arkansas Living Treasure during James Black’s Bowie Heritage Festival in old Washington on April 26. The reception will celebrate Driver, who is represented by Boswell Mourot Fine Art.
Since 2002, the Arkansas Living Treasure program has recognized an Arkansas creative who excels in the creation of a traditional craft or folk art and who preserves and advances their craft through community outreach and teaching others. The program has honored creatives in categories such as canoe carving, woodworking, quilting, weaving, bladesmithing and more.
Driver has been creating pottery for more than 50 years and continues to promote his craft through community firings, teachings and exhibitions. You can see more about Driver at www.ArkansasArts.org.
The reception for Driver will celebrate the artist and his craft with an art talk, feature video, a display of works, and catering. The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required. Spaces are limited.
