We are celebrating Global Tiger Day at the Little Rock Zoo!
In honor of our observation of Global Tiger Day on July 29, we hope you'll join us in celebrating and raising awareness of this iconic endangered species.
Stop by the Zoo on Monday to learn more about our tigers and how you can support tiger conservation.
Check back for more details on the day's activities.
Tigers are influential predators that play a critical role in maintaining healthy ecosystems that supply both people and the environment with fresh water, food and health. With fewer than 4,000 tigers left in the wild, these iconic cats are fighting for survival and face threats from poaching, habitat loss, and climate change. The Zoo is home to the Malayan subspecies of tiger. There are less than 150 Malayan tigers left in the wild.
The Zoo's Malayan tiger include Jaya (father) and his three daughters: Kae, Sundari, and Zoya born in 2022.
