Learn the fundamentals of stand-up comedy with nationally touring comedian Ben Jones in a two-part workshop from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 3 and Thursday, Oct. 5. Participants will explore comedic devices, performance techniques, onstage etiquette, and exercises for cultivating materials. The workshop culminates with an open mic performance at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, in The Adam B. Robinson Jr. Black Box Theater at ART WORKS on Main, 627 S. Main St. in Pine Bluff.

Class One: Capturing Autumn's Bounty
In this class, participants will explore the art of still life painting with an autumnal twist. They will learn to depict the vibrant colors and textures of seasonal fruits, vegetables, and other elements of the harvest season.

Join us for a spooky and creative portraiture class on Friday the 13th. There will be no formal instruction; instead, participants can capture the essence of a model dressed in a fun Halloween costume. Costumes for participants are also encouraged!

Building on the earlier still life class, this session will delve deeper into capturing the warm and cozy atmosphere of autumn. Participants will experiment with different lighting techniques to evoke the feeling of the season

ArtLinks: Designs for the Future is the statewide arts conference that happens only once every other year. This year, the conference will connect and empower creatives, funders, nonprofit leaders and educators, businesses and community organizers. Join us to network and learn about how the arts build community connectivity, funding opportunities, the creative economy, and community health. Celebrate the arts with us at a free reception on the first day of the conference!

Amy Darragh will teach a hands-on macrame workshop at The ARTSpace on Main from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19. Participants ages 8 and older will create their own plant hanger using classic white macrame. Beginners are welcome. All materials are included.

Ages 13 and older are invited to exercise and relax with certified yoga instructor FloEssence every third Saturday of the month from 1:30-3 p.m. during Yoga in the Loft. Cost is pay-what-you-can, with $15 recommended; advance registration and payment required. This program takes place in the Loft Gallery at The ARTSpace on Main, 623 S. Main St. in Pine Bluff.
FloEssence will lead participants through an hour of yoga followed by a guided meditation. New and experienced practitioners are welcome.
