Taught by Chef Joy Shan, these unique culinary classes take you through the foods of Japan, China, Korea, and beyond. You will learn how to prepare and cook a variety of recipes that are packed with mouth-watering Asian flavors. You will create these delicious exotic dishes by using ingredients from your typical grocery stores and regular seasonings already in your kitchen. After one class or all of them, you will know so many different cooking techniques that you will have the confidence to create your own Asian dishes.

Taught by Chef Alicia Watson of Vito and Vera, these classes will show participants how to blend traditional flavors with modern nutrition and plant-based ingredients. In the Date Night class, couples will cook together, and then dine together, their meal paired with wine. In the Blue Zones class, learn about regions of the world where healthy foods and lifestyles are extending the local populace's lives, and how these diets can be done here in Arkansas. In the Holiday class, you're sure to pick up a few new dishes for the upcoming gatherings that are guaranteed favorites among friends and family. And all classes are co-taught with a registered dietician for all your nutritional questions!

Mama Mia! In this pizza-making class, you will choose between two different pizza crust recipes (but you'll get to taste both!), plus you'll learn all about yeast, stretching and throwing dough, and get inspired by different toppings. You will leave with the recipes and your own full-sized pizza (that is, if you don't eat it in class!). It's not delivery anymore - it's pizza made right in your own kitchen!
Join artist and arts professor Justin Tyler Bryant as he walks creatives through the art of finding and getting a residency in any arts genre. Bryant, who is a facilitator with Mid-America Arts Alliance and the Arkansas Arts Council, will lead creatives through goal setting, positioning their careers for residencies and boosting their own chances for getting their dream opportunities.
Participants in this workshop will learn what residencies will fit their needs, red flags to notice when researching residencies, ways to improve applications and more.

UA-PTC Community Education is holding three FREE Friday introductory courses for all archers who wish to learn more about archery and begin practicing shooting with a bow. Archers shoot under the guidance of a certified instructor from the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission so that they will learn how to safely handle and shoot a bow. This course offers participants a chance to learn about archery, archery equipment, and the various types of archery shooting. Archery is a great way to sharpen skills, build self-esteem, and create a stronger atmosphere for success! Participants will leave with the skills and desire to keep shooting long after class has ended.

UA-PTC Community Education is holding FREE Saturday morning introductory nature courses at the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission Witt Stephens Nature Center in downtown Little Rock!
Sat, Nov 2: Tree ID, where we will learn more about the variety of trees which keep the Natural State looking so lush and green, and participants will go outside to compare bark, leaves, and twigs found in the native plant garden
Sat, Nov 9: Backyard Habitat, where we will make a nature journal, a suet feeder for birds, and a squirrel feeder
Sat, Nov 16: Duck Decoys, where we will paint duck decoys and learn about bird identification and fall migrations
Come learn from the true nature experts and see for yourself why wildlife conservation is so important. Bring the whole family so that everyone can experience the beauty of the great outdoors!

Kids Only Holiday Mystery Basket Challenge, where kids will engage in the thrilling reality TV-show-inspired cooking competition to create the most delicious dish in the class!
Plant-Based Cooking: Family Edition, where families will learn kid-favorites that are tasty and healthy: cheese dip, tacos, sloppy Joes, enchilada casserole, poutine, and of course, mac & cheese! Bundling discounts available for multiple-person sign-ups.
Holiday Cocktails: A Mixology class, where registrants will learn how to make several perfect cocktails for the season, and pick up the tricks and tips to venture out on their own to make their own signature drinks - plus they'll go home with their own stainless steel 3-piece cobbler cocktail shaker.
Advanced Pasta-Making, where participants can be beginners or experienced pasta-makers, and you'll make colorful, decorative pasta from scratch, making filled and shaped pastas with intricate designs.
