Celebrate World Binturong Day at the Little Rock Zoo!
Ever heard of a binturong? These unique animals, often called "bearcats," are neither bears nor cats—they're fascinating creatures with thick fur, long tails, and a scent that resembles popcorn! Native to the forests of Southeast Asia, binturongs play an important role in their ecosystems by spreading seeds and maintaining forest health.
In the wild, they face threats such as habitat loss and human-wildlife conflict. This World Binturong Day, visit the Zoo to learn how you can make a difference in protecting species like binturongs. Every small action counts in preserving their habitats and ensuring their survival.
All activities are included with regular admission—don’t miss this chance to celebrate one of the most unique residents at the Little Rock Zoo!
